Road safety issues.

Officers have been working with residents to identify the roads where speeding is causing the greatest concern. Information provided by the community, together with data from Community Speedwatch volunteers, helps identify locations where enforcement activity is most needed.

Targeted speed enforcement has already been carried out as part of ongoing road safety work, with officers using speed detection equipment to monitor driver behaviour and take action where offences are identified.

Further enforcement activity is planned in locations where concerns have been reported. We will continue to work with local communities and road safety partners to help reduce speeding and improve safety for all road users.

E-scooters/E-bikes.

PC Roy has been responding to reports of antisocial behaviour involving e-scooters and e-bikes in the area. He has been speaking with residents who have witnessed the activity and gathering CCTV footage to help identify those involved and support any enforcement action. High-visibility patrols have also been carried out in locations where concerns have been reported and will continue during the times when issues are most likely to occur. Officers will continue to target the illegal use of e-scooters and e-bikes and take appropriate action where offences are identified.

Nuisance motorcycles.

PC Roy has been carrying out enquiries into reports of a blue motorbike being ridden in a way that is causing nuisance and concern in the area. He has been speaking with residents and gathering witness accounts to build a clearer picture of where the motorbike is being used and where it may be kept. Information provided by the community is helping officers identify key locations, direct patrols more effectively and create opportunities to stop the vehicle and take appropriate enforcement action where offences are identified.
