PC Andrews has continued to monitor the area to improve road safety, particularly during school drop-off and pick-up times when traffic is at its busiest. Reports of drivers using local roads as a shortcut to avoid delays at the tunnel have reduced, suggesting that increased police visibility is helping to address the issue. PC Andrews will continue carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area to deter this behaviour, promote safe driving and help keep local roads safe for residents, pupils and other road users.

Antisocial behaviour - general.
Action taken:
Reports highlighted concerns about antisocial behaviour in and around local shops and businesses. In response, PC Andrews increased his visible presence in the area through regular patrols and engagement with the community. Antisocial behaviour includes actions that can cause nuisance, alarm or distress to others, such as persistent rowdy behaviour, harassment, vandalism or other activities that negatively affect local residents and businesses. Since these patrols were introduced, there has been a significant reduction in reported incidents. PC Andrews will continue to carry out regular patrols to help prevent further problems and ensure the area remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

PC Andrews has increased patrols in the area using both uniformed officers and plain clothes officers to help identify and deter criminal activity. Officers have also carried out a number of stop checks, where people or vehicles are stopped to allow officers to make enquiries and address concerns about potential offending. The Neighbourhood Task Force has been supporting PC Cooper with targeted operations and gathering information to help tackle crime in the area. This work includes applying for search warrants, which allow police to search properties for evidence linked to suspected criminal activity. Officers are continuing to identify individuals and vehicles believed to be connected to these concerns so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent further offences and keep the community safe.
