Nuisance bikes.

Officers have carried out regular patrols in the area using both marked and unmarked vehicles to tackle nuisance bikes and improve community safety. This work has resulted in a number of bikes being seized and people being arrested in connection with related offences. Officers have also joined local councillors on drive-arounds to discuss concerns and identify problem locations. Several targeted days of action have taken place, with extra patrols dedicated to identifying and dealing with nuisance vehicles. Information gathered through patrols, reports and community engagement is helping officers build a better understanding of the issue and support future enforcement activity.

Fly tipping.

Officers regularly patrol rural roads and country lanes where fly-tipping has previously been reported. They continue to encourage residents to report incidents to the local council, which is responsible for removing fly-tipped waste and investigating many offences. Officers also work closely with councils and other partner organisations to share information and support action against those responsible.

Antisocial behaviour.

Officers increased patrols during the summer holidays to help tackle antisocial behaviour and provide reassurance to local communities. Both marked and unmarked patrols have been carried out in areas where concerns were raised. Dispersal orders have been used where necessary, giving officers the power to direct people to leave an area for a set period to help prevent further antisocial behaviour. Community Protection Warnings have also been issued to repeat offenders. These are formal warnings that outline the impact of a person's behaviour and make clear that further action may be taken if the behaviour continues.
