Drug dealing.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Cooper has increased patrols in the area, using both uniformed officers and plain clothes officers to help tackle the issues being reported. Officers have also carried out a number of stop checks, where people or vehicles are stopped so that enquiries can be made and any concerns about suspected criminal activity can be investigated. The Neighbourhood Task Force has supported this work by carrying out targeted operations and executing several search warrants in the area. A search warrant is a legal document authorised by a court that allows police to search a property for evidence linked to suspected criminal activity. Work is continuing to identify individuals and vehicles believed to be connected to these concerns so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent further offending and help keep the community safe.

Antisocial behaviour - general.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Cooper has focused patrols in areas where concerns have been reported and has spoken with groups of young people gathering in those locations. During these engagements, officers have recorded relevant details and gathered information to help better understand any issues affecting the area. Any necessary follow-up action is being progressed as part of ongoing efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour. Antisocial behaviour includes actions that cause nuisance, alarm or distress to others, such as persistent disorder, vandalism, intimidation or other behaviour that negatively affects the local community. PC Cooper will continue to work with residents, partner agencies and local organisations to address concerns, prevent further problems and help ensure the area is a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

Unlawful obstruction.
Issued 16 April 2026
While on patrol, PC Cooper has taken action to address vehicles that are parked in a way that creates a dangerous obstruction for other road users or pedestrians. When vehicles have been found causing a safety risk, he has contacted the registered keeper and arranged for the vehicle to be moved. He has also provided advice and education to drivers about the risks and potential offences associated with careless, inconsiderate or dangerous parking. Obstructed roads and pavements can create hazards for motorists, cyclists, wheelchair users and pedestrians, making road safety a key priority. PC Cooper has focused on educating drivers and encouraging safer parking practices in the first instance, helping to prevent future problems and improve safety for everyone who uses the area's roads and footpaths.
