Your Community Safety Unit
Your Community Safety Unit is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.
Action taken:
We have carried out high-visibility foot and mobile patrols in villages where concerns about antisocial behaviour have been reported, both directly to Kent Police and at local police drop-in sessions. These patrols have helped officers speak with people suspected of being involved, offering advice and support to help prevent further issues, while also providing a visible police presence to discourage this behaviour. We will continue to work with partner organisations to help reduce this type of activity.

Nuisance motorcycles.
Action taken:
Three people have been arrested in connection with stolen motorcycles, and enquiries are ongoing. These bikes had been used to cause nuisance in the community. In response, there has been an increase in high-visibility patrols, which has helped to reduce nuisance riding in areas where issues have been reported.

Dog fouling.
Action taken:
Dog fouling has been identified as a key concern in the Buckland ward, as it affects the cleanliness of public spaces and the enjoyment of the area. Kent Police is working with local partners to help address this issue by encouraging responsible dog ownership and reminding people of their legal duty to clear up after their pets. While enforcement action is led by Dover District Council, officers will continue to support patrols in known problem areas and speak with the public. Residents are encouraged to report incidents to Dover District Council so that appropriate action can be taken.
