Drug dealing.
Issued 14 April 2026
We have carried out targeted work to tackle drug dealing and drug use in the area, using information from the community to guide our activity. This has included a mix of high-visibility, unmarked and plain clothes patrols, both on foot and in vehicles, to help identify and disrupt this type of crime. Officers have used stop and search powers across the ward, which has led to several arrests of people linked to drug supply.
We have also gathered further information to support ongoing investigations and continue to work closely with partner organisations to address this issue and keep the area safe. With support from residents, we are identifying new and emerging hotspot areas and will focus our work where it is most needed.

Road safety issues.
Issued 14 April 2026
We have continued both high-visibility and plain clothes patrols to address road safety concerns in the Tower Hamlets area. This work has included seizing illegal e‑scooters, taking action against the illegal use of stolen motorbikes and arresting those involved.
We have also secured charges against a high-risk individual for a number of offences, including driving over the legal drug limit, driving while unfit through drugs, possession of Class A drugs (the most harmful type of illegal drugs), driving without insurance and driving without a valid MOT.
Where possible, officers are present on high-visibility patrol during school times to provide reassurance to the community and help prevent crime.
