Drug dealing.
Issued 14 April 2026
We have carried out targeted work to tackle drug dealing and drug use, using information from the community to guide where we act. This includes high-visibility patrols and plain clothes officers on foot and in vehicles.
We have used stop and search powers, leading to several arrests linked to drug supply. We have also gathered information to support ongoing investigations.
We continue to work with partner organisations to keep the area safe. With help from residents, we are identifying new hotspot areas and focusing our activity where it is most needed.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.
Issued 14 April 2026
We have carried out targeted patrols in response to concerns about antisocial behaviour. This includes both marked police vehicles and unmarked cars, as well as increased foot patrols to provide a visible presence and speak with the community.
Officers have also engaged with those involved, offering advice to help prevent issues from getting worse. We will continue to monitor the situation and take action where needed.

Alcohol.
Issued 14 February 2026
Following feedback from our community survey, alcohol-related issues are a priority in Dover Town.
We are carrying out targeted patrols in areas where problems are reported. A Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is in place in key areas, including the seafront. A PSPO is a legal order that allows officers to stop people from drinking in public if it is causing problems. Officers can also ask people to hand over alcohol or leave the area to prevent further disruption.
We take action when young people under 18 have alcohol and work with Trading Standards to tackle underage sales.
We also support the Dover Community Alcohol Partnership, which works with schools, shops and partners to prevent underage drinking and reduce harm.
High-visibility patrols continue on foot and by bicycle to reassure the community and respond to concerns. Please report any issues so we can focus our patrols where they are needed most.
