Antisocial behaviour.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers continue to carry out targeted patrols in areas where concerns about antisocial behaviour have been raised. These patrols help deter offending, identify those responsible and provide reassurance to residents. Officers also work closely with property owners and partner organisations to improve security at locations vulnerable to antisocial behaviour, trespassing and criminal damage. Through proactive policing and partnership working, repeat offenders have been identified and appropriate action has been taken. Officers will continue to work with residents and local partners to reduce antisocial behaviour and help keep the area safe.

E-bikes/E-scooters.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers continue to tackle the illegal and antisocial use of e-bikes and e-scooters in the Hythe area through targeted patrols and enforcement activity. These vehicles can cause nuisance and pose a risk to pedestrians and other road users when used unlawfully. As part of ongoing enforcement, officers recently stopped and seized a high-performance e-bike, which was subsequently destroyed, and the rider was dealt with for relevant road traffic offences. Through proactive patrols, enforcement and partnership working, officers continue to take action against those who use e-bikes and e-scooters irresponsibly and help improve safety within the community.
