Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.
My Community Voice is a free messaging service that keeps you updated on local news, events and safety information from your policing team. Find out more and register for My Community Voice.

Road safety.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers from local neighbourhood policing teams are working with colleagues from across Kent Police to tackle traffic offences and improve road safety. This includes carrying out targeted enforcement activity at key locations across the area. Information provided by residents helps officers identify repeat offenders and focus their efforts where they are needed most. Officers also use speed detection equipment to help deter speeding and encourage safer driving. Residents who would like to support road safety in their community may wish to get involved in Community Speedwatch, a volunteer-led scheme that allows trained members of the public to monitor vehicle speeds and help raise awareness of speeding issues in their local area.

Farming equipment thefts.
Issued 20 July 2026
The Rural Task Force has worked with partner agencies to recover around £200,000 worth of stolen plant machinery. Officers support rural communities by providing crime prevention advice, helping people protect their property and taking action against those involved in rural crime. Local neighbourhood officers work closely with specialist colleagues to gather information about people suspected of stealing farming equipment and machinery, helping to prevent offences and bring offenders to justice.

Antisocial behaviour.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers regularly patrol the area to help prevent and deter antisocial behaviour. Thankfully, reports of antisocial behaviour remain low. Local neighbourhood officers will continue to monitor any concerns raised by residents, carry out patrols where needed and take appropriate action to address any issues reported by the community.
