Your Community Safety Unit is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.
My Community Voice is a free messaging service that keeps you updated on local news, events and safety information from your policing team. Find out more and register for My Community Voice.

Tackling reports of nuisance behaviour and environmental concerns.
Issued 21 April 2026
Officers continue to carry out high-visibility patrols in areas where concerns have been raised, providing reassurance to residents and helping to deter antisocial behaviour. We work closely with the local council and regularly review reported issues and hotspot locations to ensure concerns are addressed promptly. Joint visits and ongoing partnership working help identify emerging problems and support action to improve the local environment and quality of life for residents.

Antisocial behaviour.
Issued 21 April 2026
Officers continue to carry out regular patrols in areas where antisocial behaviour has been reported, working to identify those responsible and take appropriate action. Where suitable, officers may issue Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) and Acceptable Behaviour Agreements (ABAs) to address behaviour at an early stage and prevent further incidents.
A number of Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices (CPNs) have already been issued within the area to tackle antisocial behaviour and related issues. These measures set clear expectations and conditions for behaviour. Where these conditions are not followed, officers can consider further enforcement action. By combining patrols, early intervention and enforcement, we aim to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve the quality of life for local residents.

Nuisance vehicles.
Issued 21 April 2026
Officers continue to carry out regular patrols in areas affected by nuisance vehicle activity, providing a visible presence and responding to concerns raised by residents. A My Community Voice (MCV) message has been shared to encourage volunteers to join the local Speedwatch scheme. Speedwatch is a community-led initiative where trained volunteers work with police to monitor vehicle speeds and raise awareness of road safety issues. By working together with local residents, we can better identify concerns and target enforcement activity where it is needed most.
