Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Nuisance vehicles on Park Pale.
Action taken:
Officers have carried out regular patrols of the area and have seen what appears to be a noticeable reduction in incidents involving nuisance bikes. In addition, bollards at the bottom of Park Pale have been repositioned to make it more difficult for riders to access and leave the area quickly.
These measures appear to be having a positive impact, and we will continue to monitor the area and respond to any reports from the community.

Fly tipping.
Action taken:
Keeping the area clean and free from environmental crime remains important to residents and local partners.
Over the past 3 months, only 1 incident of fly-tipping has been reported within the area. This was referred to the local authority for investigation, and we continue to work closely with partner agencies to address any incidents that occur.
We encourage residents to continue reporting fly-tipping so that appropriate action can be taken.

Nuisance vehicles.
Action taken:
Concerns have been raised regarding heavy goods vehicles using roads in Higham that are not considered suitable for their size, despite advisory signage being in place.
Alongside regular patrols, officers are working with Gravesham Borough Council and other partners to explore ways of improving the current signage. Discussions are underway regarding options that could make restrictions more effective and enforceable in the future.
We will continue working with partner agencies to address these concerns and improve road safety for residents and all road users.
