Catapults.
Issued 21 April 2026
Officers continue to patrol areas where concerns about catapult misuse have been reported. Where individuals are identified carrying or using catapults unlawfully, the items may be seized and appropriate action taken.
Community Protection Notices (CPNs) may also be issued where behaviour is causing a persistent negative impact on the community. A CPN is a legal notice that sets conditions to stop antisocial behaviour and can lead to further enforcement action if breached. Officers will continue to work with local residents, schools and partner agencies to reduce incidents and help keep the community safe.

Burglaries and theft related offences.
Issued 21 April 2026
Regular targeted patrols have been carried out across the DA12 and DA13 postcode areas following recent reports of burglary and theft. As part of this work, two offenders were identified in connection with a burglary at Meopham Scout Hut and were each issued with a Community Resolution. A Community Resolution is an outcome used for lower-level offences that allows offenders to take responsibility for their actions without going to court.
Officers will continue to patrol identified hotspot areas, support ongoing investigations and work with local communities to help prevent further offences. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity, as information from the public can play an important role in identifying offenders and protecting the community.
