Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Off road bikes.
Action taken:
Tackling nuisance bikes, e-scooters and off-road style electric motorcycles remains a priority for local officers. Targeted operations and enforcement activity have been carried out in response to concerns raised by residents, resulting in a number of nuisance vehicles being seized. Officers have carried out proactive patrols in areas where problems have been reported, helping to identify offenders, gather information and take action against those using vehicles in an antisocial or dangerous manner. Some of these seizures have been made using Section 59 powers, which allow police to seize a vehicle being used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others.
Officers have also worked closely with local residents, using CCTV footage and information provided by the community to support investigations and identify vehicles of concern. Patrols and enforcement activity will continue to help reduce antisocial behaviour, improve safety and address concerns about nuisance vehicles.

Drug dealing.
Action taken:
Addressing drug-related crime remains a priority for local officers. Regular patrols are carried out in areas where concerns have been raised, using information from residents and local intelligence to focus activity where it is most needed. Where officers have lawful grounds, stop and searches may be carried out to help identify those involved in drug-related offending, gather evidence and disrupt criminal activity.
Information about problem locations is shared across policing teams to ensure a consistent response and allow action to be taken whenever concerns are reported. Officers remain committed to tackling drug-related crime, taking positive action against offenders and reducing the impact of drugs on local communities.

Theft shoplifting.
Action taken:
Reducing shoplifting and supporting local businesses remains a priority for local officers. Officers work closely with retailers to identify repeat offenders, share information and take action against those involved in retail crime. Partnership working with local businesses helps improve reporting, build intelligence and identify patterns of offending. This collaborative approach has helped officers identify a number of known offenders and take appropriate action where offences have been committed. Officers will continue to work with businesses and partner organisations to tackle shoplifting, reduce crime and help ensure local shops remain safe for staff, customers and the wider community.
