about

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.

We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.

We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

My Community Voice is a free messaging service that keeps you updated on local news, events and safety information from your policing team. Find out more and register for My Community Voice.

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Nuisance vehicles (e-scooters and motorbikes).

    Issued 21 July 2026

    Action taken:

Following reports from residents about nuisance vehicles and the unsafe use of e-scooters and e-bikes, officers have carried out targeted operations and patrols across the area to address these concerns. This work has resulted in several illegally used e-scooters and e-bikes being seized, helping to improve road safety and reduce behaviour that can cause danger or disruption to the community.

Officers have also worked alongside partner agencies during enforcement activities, carrying out vehicle checks, engaging with members of the public and taking action where offences have been identified. Regular patrols and joint operations will continue to help tackle nuisance vehicle use, improve safety and respond to concerns raised by local residents.

  • Priority:

    Drug dealing.

    Issued 21 July 2026

    Action taken:

Addressing drug-related crime remains a priority for local officers. Officers continue to carry out proactive, intelligence-led patrols in areas where concerns have been raised, using information from residents and local intelligence to identify and disrupt criminal activity. During a recent patrol, officers stopped a motorcycle displaying false registration plates and detained the rider after they attempted to leave the area. A search of the rider led to the recovery of suspected drugs believed to be intended for supply, and further action was taken in relation to a number of road traffic offences.

Officers will continue to carry out targeted enforcement activity to disrupt drug-related offending, take action against those involved in criminal activity and help keep local communities safe.

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour.

    Issued 21 July 2026

    Action taken:

Addressing antisocial behaviour remains a priority, and we have continued to carry out regular patrols in locations where concerns have been raised by residents and local partners.

This proactive approach has led to a number of arrests for antisocial behaviour and related offences. Investigations remain ongoing, and where appropriate, individuals have been placed on bail with conditions to help prevent further offending.

Alongside enforcement activity, we continue to work to identify repeat offenders and use a range of measures to address persistent issues. Our aim is to reduce antisocial behaviour, improve community confidence, and ensure that people feel safe living, working, and visiting the area.

We will continue to listen to community concerns and take positive action where issues are identified.

    Actioned 30 September 2026
