Fly tipping.

We have carried out joint days of action with Maidstone Borough Council's Waste Crime Team, targeting known fly-tipping hotspots, vehicles and suspected offenders. Ongoing intelligence sharing between partner agencies is helping to identify those responsible and take positive enforcement action. This partnership approach continues to support efforts to reduce fly-tipping, protect the local environment and hold offenders to account.

Catapults.

Local Beat Officers continue to respond to reports involving catapults and carry out high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas. Where offenders are identified, appropriate action is taken using antisocial behaviour powers and other available measures.

Officers have also been working closely with local housing providers to address repeat offending, with tenancy-related action considered where appropriate. This approach has proved particularly effective in cases involving young people under 16.

In addition, officers recently met with the local MP to discuss concerns about catapult-related incidents and to outline the measures currently in place to tackle the issue. We will continue to work with partners, schools and the community to reduce incidents and help keep local areas safe.

Road safety issues.

Local beat officers have carried out high-visibility patrols in areas where reports of antisocial driving and road traffic offences have been received. As part of this activity, a number of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) have been issued. A TOR is a formal report used when a driver is suspected of committing a road traffic offence and may result in a fine, driver education course or court action. Vehicles have also been seized for offences including driving without insurance.

Officers will continue to patrol identified hotspot areas and take enforcement action where offences are detected to help improve road safety and address concerns raised by the community.
