    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Nuisance vehicles.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

Police have recently issued a Community Protection Warning to help prevent a motorcycle meet on the A20 at Gorse Hill following concerns about the risk it posed to public safety last summer. A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning used to address behaviour that is having a negative impact on the local community.

The local neighbourhood officer is also aware of concerns about off-road bikes being used on roads and public footpaths in the area. As a result of proactive patrols and targeted enforcement activity, 4 nuisance bikes have been seized, helping to disrupt ongoing antisocial behaviour and the unlawful use of vehicles.

Officers will continue to patrol hotspot locations and take action where offences are identified. Residents are encouraged to report any concerns or incidents, as information from the community helps officers focus patrols and enforcement activity where it is needed most. To receive updates and stay in direct contact with your local neighbourhood officer, please join My Community Voice (MCV).

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

High-visibility patrols have been carried out in hotspot locations identified for nuisance behaviour and vehicle-related antisocial behaviour. Officers have engaged with local residents and affected communities to provide reassurance, offer advice on reporting incidents and encourage the sharing of information and evidence.

Posters and leaflets have also been distributed in targeted areas, providing information on how to report antisocial behaviour, the consequences of nuisance vehicle use and the powers available to police to address these issues.

Residents are encouraged to join My Community Voice (MCV) to receive local policing updates, report concerns and stay in direct contact with their local neighbourhood officer.

  • Priority:

    Vehicle crime.

    Issued 14 April 2026

    Action taken:

There have been four reports of vehicle crime in the area over the past 3 months. Unfortunately, no suspects have been identified at this stage. The local neighbourhood officer continues to work with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to identify any patterns, develop intelligence and pursue opportunities to identify those responsible.

Following reported incidents, officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and provided residents with tailored crime prevention advice, including guidance on vehicle security, keyless vehicle theft prevention, steering locks and the use of CCTV. Crime prevention leaflets and posters have also been distributed in key locations to raise awareness and help reduce the risk of further offences.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police. To receive updates and stay in direct contact with your local neighbourhood officer, please join My Community Voice (MCV).
