    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Fly-tipping.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

Fly-tipping has been raised as a concern within the ward. Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste and can have a negative impact on the local environment and the wider community. While responsibility for removing fly-tipped waste and leading on enforcement action usually sits with the local council, PC Bailey is aware of the effect this issue has on residents and will continue to support partner agencies where appropriate.

Residents are encouraged to report any incidents of fly-tipping to the local council and provide as much information as possible, including the location, a description of the waste, details of any vehicles or people involved and photographs where it is safe to take them. This information can help identify those responsible and support enforcement action.

PC Bailey will continue to work alongside partner agencies to tackle environmental crime and support local enquiries. Residents are also encouraged to raise concerns with their neighbourhood officer through local community meetings or My Community Voice, a free two-way messaging service that allows residents to receive local policing updates and share information about issues affecting their area.

  • Priority:

    Theft - shoplifting.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

PC Bailey continues to maintain a visible presence in local shops and retail areas, regularly speaking with store staff to offer reassurance and support in relation to shoplifting concerns. By working closely with businesses, officers are able to gather information, identify offenders and take appropriate action where thefts occur. These ongoing efforts help to prevent further incidents, reduce retail crime and improve safety for shop workers, customers and visitors. Residents are encouraged to share any concerns with their local neighbourhood officer through community meetings or My Community Voice, a free two-way messaging service that allows residents to receive local policing updates and provide information about issues affecting their area.

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

Road safety continues to be a concern within the ward, and officers are carrying out regular patrols and enforcement activity to address issues raised by the community. This work includes monitoring driver behaviour, carrying out roadside checks and taking action where offences are identified. Officers also provide advice and education to encourage safer driving and help reduce the risk of collisions. Through ongoing patrols and engagement with residents, police will continue to tackle road safety concerns, improve driver behaviour and help keep local roads safe for all road users. Further updates on local policing activity and road safety initiatives will be shared through My Community Voice, a free two-way messaging service that allows residents to receive updates and share concerns with their local policing team.
