Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.
My Community Voice is a free messaging service that keeps you updated on local news, events and safety information from your policing team. Find out more and register for My Community Voice.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.
Issued 15 July 2026
PC Hills has continued to tackle antisocial behaviour across the area, responding to a range of concerns raised by residents. This has included reports of nuisance vehicle use, unlawful encampments, youth-related disorder and breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). A PSPO is a legal order introduced by a local council to address behaviours that have a negative impact on the community, and police can take enforcement action when these restrictions are breached.
PC Hills regularly carries out both foot and vehicle patrols to maintain a visible presence, engage with residents and businesses, and gather information about local issues. These patrols help provide reassurance, identify community concerns and support action against those causing problems. PC Hills has also carried out a number of speed enforcement operations using speed detection equipment, helping to improve road safety and encourage drivers to travel within the speed limit.

E-scooters/E-bikes.
Issued 15 July 2026
PC Hills has continued to take action against the illegal use of e-scooters and e-bikes across the area. Through targeted patrols and enforcement activity, he has identified offenders, seized a number of illegally used e-scooters and supported prosecutions where offences have been committed. Illegal use of e-scooters and some high-powered e-bikes can put pedestrians and other road users at risk, particularly when they are ridden on pavements, in busy public areas or without the appropriate insurance and legal requirements. These enforcement efforts have helped improve public safety, reduce the risk of collisions and respond to concerns raised by the local community about the use of these vehicles in public spaces.

Internet/cyber crime.
Issued 15 July 2026
PC Hills has been providing crime prevention and safeguarding advice about internet safety and cybercrime during his day-to-day contact with residents. As online scams, fraud and other cyber offences continue to affect communities, he works to raise awareness of common risks and shares practical advice to help people stay safe online.
PC Hills also holds a monthly community surgery, giving residents the opportunity to discuss local concerns and seek advice on a range of issues, including online safety and fraud prevention. These sessions provide a chance to speak directly with a local officer, ask questions and receive crime prevention guidance. Details of upcoming community surgeries are promoted through the Kent Police website, helping residents stay informed and connected with their local neighbourhood policing team.
