  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

PC Godden recognises that road safety is a key concern for residents and is taking this seriously.

He is developing a longer‑term approach to understand which roads present the highest risk, rather than relying on one‑off checks. This includes reviewing concerns raised by the community and identifying patterns in where and when issues occur.

As part of this work, he has been speaking directly with drivers across the area, encouraging safer driving, reducing speed and improving awareness of other road users.

He is also working closely with the local council and specialist Kent Police teams to support a coordinated response to speeding and other road safety issues.

Residents are encouraged to continue sharing concerns, as this helps inform future activity. You can speak with your local officer at ward surgeries or through My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

  • Priority:

    Drug dealing.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

PC Godden is taking action to tackle drug use and its impact on the community.

He is working closely with residents and partner agencies to understand local concerns and identify areas most affected. Using this information, along with regular patrols, he is able to focus activity where it is most needed.

During these patrols, officers use stop and search powers where appropriate, and take enforcement action, including arrests, when offences are identified. This helps reduce harm and disrupt drug activity.

This approach combines engagement, visibility and enforcement to improve safety. Residents are encouraged to continue sharing concerns through ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

    Actioned 30 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - general.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

Officers are continuing to focus on tackling antisocial behaviour (ASB) across the area.

Regular patrols are taking place in locations such as parks, streets and other areas where concerns have been raised. During these patrols, officers speak with young people to explain how their behaviour can impact others and help prevent issues from escalating.

As the summer months approach, when antisocial behaviour can increase, officers are working ahead with partners to plan additional activity. This includes increased high‑visibility patrols and engagement with schools to raise awareness and promote positive behaviour.

This approach combines prevention, engagement and enforcement to reduce antisocial behaviour and support safer communities. Residents are encouraged to continue sharing concerns through local ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

    Actioned 30 June 2026
