  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Drug dealing.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

PC Howard is taking action to tackle drug activity and reduce its impact on the community.

Officers carry out stop and search activity (a legal power that allows officers to search people for items such as drugs), which has led to arrests, out‑of‑court outcomes and the seizure of drugs. This work helps disrupt drug dealing and remove harmful substances from the streets.

Alongside enforcement, officers are also carrying out welfare checks to support vulnerable people who may be affected by drug use or exploitation. This includes offering advice and signposting to partner agencies that can provide further support.

This approach combines enforcement, prevention and safeguarding to reduce drug‑related harm and keep the community safe.

    Drug taking.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

PC Howard is taking action to tackle drug activity and reduce its impact on the community.

This includes using stop and search powers (a legal power that allows officers to search people for items such as drugs). These checks have led to arrests, out‑of‑court outcomes and the seizure and destruction of drugs, helping to disrupt criminal activity and reduce harm.

Alongside enforcement, officers are also carrying out welfare checks for vulnerable people who may be affected by drug use. This includes offering advice, support and signposting to partner agencies that can provide further help.

This balanced approach of enforcement and support helps keep the community safe. Residents are encouraged to continue sharing concerns through local ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

    Actioned 30 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 16 April 2026

    Action taken:

PC Howard has been responding to concerns about antisocial behaviour (ASB) in the area, particularly around St Lawrence High Street and the use of the Parish Hall as a winter shelter.

Following reports, officers have taken action where offences have been identified, including arrests for shoplifting and other behaviour affecting the community.

High‑visibility patrols have also taken place in key areas such as Broadstairs High Street, the beach and during events in Margate. This has led to further enforcement action, including arrests and the use of dispersal powers (which allow officers to direct individuals to leave an area for a set time) to prevent disorder and keep people safe.

This ongoing approach combines visible policing and enforcement to reduce antisocial behaviour and support the wider community.

    Actioned 30 June 2026
