Road safety issues.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Lawford is carrying out proactive speed enforcement across the area, with vehicles stopped where necessary to provide advice and address unsafe driving.
During these checks, vehicles are also inspected to ensure they meet legal requirements, including valid tax, insurance and MOT (the yearly safety check for vehicles). Where offences are identified, appropriate action is taken.
Areas of concern identified through patrols and community reports have been shared with specialist roads policing teams. These teams are working with the Neighbourhood Task Force to deliver targeted days of action, combining enforcement with road safety advice.
This ongoing approach helps improve driver behaviour, reduce risk and keep roads safer for everyone. Residents are encouraged to continue sharing concerns through local ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

E-scooters/e-bikes.
Issued 16 April 2026
Officers are carrying out enforcement activity to tackle the illegal use of e‑scooters.
During patrols in areas such as Sir Moses Montefiore, riders are frequently stopped and spoken to about the law and safe use. Joint operations with the Neighbourhood Task Force and local teams have led to vehicle seizures and enforcement action where offences are identified.
Officers are also working with young people to raise awareness of the risks associated with e‑scooters and help prevent misuse.

Drug dealing.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Lawford and PC Parsons are carrying out proactive work to tackle drug‑related activity in the area.
This includes regular patrols and the use of stop and search powers (a legal power that allows officers to search people for items such as drugs), leading to the seizure of controlled substances. Where offences are identified, action is taken through both educational interventions and criminal justice outcomes.
Officers have also worked with the Neighbourhood Task Force and other local teams to visit addresses linked to reported drug use that is affecting residents. This work aims to disrupt activity, reduce harm and improve quality of life in the community.
Residents are encouraged to continue sharing concerns through local ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).
