  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

Road safety remains a priority for local residents, and PC England is working with community partners to address concerns and improve safety across the area. This includes supporting efforts to re-establish Community Speedwatch, a volunteer-led scheme that helps monitor vehicle speeds and raise awareness of road safety issues within the community.

PC England is also aware of concerns about off-road motorcycles and high-powered e-bikes being used around Lymington Park and Sea Road. Regular patrols are taking place in these areas, supported by specialist neighbourhood policing resources, to help deter offending and identify those responsible. Police are working closely with Westgate-on-Sea Town Council to explore longer-term solutions, including measures that may help prevent antisocial behaviour and improve safety at local recreational areas.

  • Priority:

    Criminal damage.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

PC England is focusing patrols in the areas where concerns have been reported, particularly around Lymington Road Recreational Ground. Regular patrols help deter antisocial behaviour, identify those responsible and provide reassurance to residents using the area.

PC England is also working closely with partner organisations, including Westgate-on-Sea Town Council, to explore a range of crime prevention measures that may help reduce future problems. This partnership approach aims to improve safety, address community concerns and create a more welcoming environment for local residents and visitors.

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

PC England has been working closely with residents and businesses in Westgate-on-Sea to better understand and address antisocial behaviour. Information gathered through community meetings, local engagement events and My Community Voice has helped officers identify issues affecting the area and focus their activity where it is needed most.

As part of this work, PC England has carried out engagement visits with young people involved in antisocial behaviour, working alongside specialist teams and partner agencies to address concerns at an early stage. Following an incident during the summer involving the use of racially offensive language, officers were able to identify the person responsible and put appropriate intervention measures in place with both the individual and their family. This approach aims to address behaviour, prevent repeat incidents and help make the community safer and more welcoming for everyone.

    Actioned 30 September 2026
