Road safety issues.

Officers continue to carry out proactive road safety patrols using local information and intelligence to identify and deal with road traffic offences. This has resulted in action being taken against vehicles being driven without valid insurance, road tax or an MOT.

Officers also respond to reports of antisocial driving, speaking with drivers about their behaviour and taking appropriate action where necessary. Information gathered during these incidents is recorded to help identify repeat offenders and support future enforcement activity, helping to improve road safety and address concerns raised by residents.

E-scooters/E-bikes.

Officers continue to monitor reports of the illegal use of off-road bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters in the Orchard Park area. Targeted patrols are carried out in locations where concerns have been raised, helping to identify offenders, provide reassurance to residents and address antisocial behaviour.

Officers also visit addresses linked to reports from the community, offering advice and education to riders and owners about the law and the safe use of these vehicles. This ongoing work aims to prevent further offences, improve road safety and reduce the impact on local residents.

Theft-shoplifting.

Officers continue to work with local retailers and shop staff to help prevent shoplifting and identify offenders. Regular engagement with businesses, along with the review of crime reports and CCTV footage, helps officers gather information, identify suspects and support enforcement action where appropriate. This proactive approach helps deter offending, support local businesses and keep shopping areas safe for staff, customers and the wider community.
