Nuisance youths.

Reports of nuisance behaviour involving young people and the misuse of catapults are often linked. When there are legal grounds to do so, officers may stop and search people suspected of being involved in antisocial behaviour, criminal damage or other offences. Any offences identified will be dealt with appropriately, and information may be shared with neighbouring policing teams to help prevent problems moving from one area to another. Community support remains vital in helping to identify those responsible. Residents are encouraged to report incidents and, where safe to do so, provide any available evidence such as CCTV footage, doorbell camera recordings, photographs or videos. This evidence can play an important role in identifying offenders, supporting investigations and helping police take action to prevent further incidents.

Catapults.

Officers have been responding to reports about the misuse of catapults and working to reassure the local community. Following reported incidents, officers have spoken with residents and gathered information to help build a clearer picture of those involved. High-visibility patrols have also been carried out in affected areas to provide a visible police presence, help people feel safer, and discourage further antisocial behaviour.

Road safety issues.

Officers have continued to carry out road safety patrols across the area in response to concerns raised by local residents. This work has included monitoring locations where issues have been reported, speaking with road users, and taking action where driving behaviour puts others at risk. Where appropriate, drivers committing traffic offences have been stopped and dealt with through advice, education or enforcement action, depending on the circumstances. These patrols help improve road safety, discourage dangerous driving, and provide a visible police presence within the community.
