  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Road safety.

    Issued 22 July 2026

    Action taken:

The local officer continues to support road safety across the area by carrying out regular speed checks at locations where concerns have been raised or where speeding has been identified as a risk. Using local knowledge of the rural road network, enforcement activity is targeted to the areas where it can have the greatest impact. Drivers found exceeding the speed limit may face prosecution or be offered educational courses to help them understand the risks that speeding poses to themselves and other road users. This ongoing work helps improve safety and reduce the likelihood of serious collisions on local roads.

    Actioned 30 September 2026

  • Priority:

    E-scooters and bikes.

    Issued 22 July 2026

    Action taken:

The local officer continues to address concerns around the illegal and antisocial use of e-scooters and bikes within the area. While only a small number of incidents have been identified in recent months, officers remain focused on gathering information and taking action where offences are reported. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting the illegal use of e-scooters and bikes, particularly where they are being ridden in a way that causes nuisance, alarm or danger to others. Information provided by the public helps officers identify those responsible, target enforcement activity and prevent further issues within the community.

    Actioned 30 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Catapults.

    Issued 22 July 2026

    Action taken:

The local officer continues to work with colleagues and specialist teams to address concerns about the misuse of catapults within the community. Regular patrols are carried out in locations where incidents have been reported, helping to deter this behaviour, identify those responsible and gather information to support any necessary action. Catapults can cause significant damage to property and pose a risk to people and animals, so reports from the public are taken seriously. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents and sharing any information that may help identify those involved, as community information is vital in helping police prevent further incidents and target patrols effectively.

    Actioned 30 September 2026
