Road safety issues.
Action taken:
Concerns about nuisance vehicles continue to be a priority, particularly along Greggswood Road. In response to reports from residents, local officers have carried out joint visits with Housing and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council's Community Safety Unit to address ongoing issues and identify those responsible.
As a result of this work, two Section 59 warnings and Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) have been issued. A Section 59 warning is a legal warning that can be issued when a vehicle is used in a manner that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others. If further offending occurs, the vehicle may be seized. A CPW is a formal warning used to address behaviour that is having a negative impact on the local community and may lead to further enforcement action if problems continue.
Further enquiries have identified another vehicle involved in similar behaviour, and enforcement action is being progressed. We will continue to monitor the area, work closely with partner agencies and take appropriate action against those using vehicles irresponsibly to help improve road safety and reduce nuisance within the community.

Nuisance motorcycles.
Action taken:
Reports of nuisance motorcycles, particularly around Doorstep Green and surrounding areas, remain a concern for residents. In response, officers continue to carry out high-visibility foot patrols in key locations to deter antisocial behaviour, identify those responsible and provide reassurance to the community.
We are also working closely with partner agencies to develop long-term solutions to the issue. As part of this work, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has submitted a funding bid to explore additional target-hardening measures in the areas most affected. Target hardening involves making locations less accessible or attractive to offenders through physical or environmental improvements.
Patrols and engagement activity will continue, and information provided by the public remains invaluable in helping officers identify offenders, target resources effectively and address nuisance motorcycle use within the community.

Action taken:
Addressing antisocial behaviour remains an ongoing priority. Officers continue to carry out regular foot patrols in hotspot areas and take enforcement action where appropriate. Joint visits with local housing providers and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council's Community Safety Unit are helping to address longer-term issues and provide support to those affected by persistent antisocial behaviour.
We have also recently coordinated a multi-agency meeting to address concerns relating to the misuse of catapults in local parks, particularly incidents involving wildlife. This partnership approach is helping to identify effective ways of reducing incidents and preventing further harm.
Regular patrols continue at Sherwood Lake, including enforcement of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). A PSPO is a legal order used to address behaviours that have a negative impact on the community and helps officers take action where necessary. Through enforcement, engagement and partnership working, we aim to keep the area safe, welcoming and enjoyable for all residents and visitors.
