If you can work as part of a team, have an eye for detail and the drive to seek the truth and deliver justice for victims, then a career as a detective constable could be for you.

Our detective programme is an intensive course which will require commitment and dedication to both serving the public and meeting the demands of the programme. For the first year of the programme, you will receive initial police training and be a uniformed police constable. Once you have successfully achieved independent patrol status, you will be assigned a detective tutor who will support you to develop the skills and experience you need to lead investigations into serious violence, sexual offences, and serious acquisitive crime.
