The Freedom of Information (FOI) data shows:
The expectation from the Information Commissioner’s Office is that an organisation achieves a 90% compliance rate.
The publication of the data will always be one month behind due to the 20-working day time period in which to respond to requests. By way of an example, requests received in January would in general be all completed by the end of February and consequently the data would be available for publication in March.
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 authorities must normally respond to FOI requests within 20 working days. Authorities will be selected for monitoring by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) should 90% of their requests regularly not receive a response within the appropriate timescales.
Under the Data Protection Act 2018 we are required to respond to Subject Access Requests within 30 calendar days with the expectation of 100% compliance. However, due to the quantity of data held by us and the complexity of some requests there are instances where we may be unable to meet the 30 day compliance.
