  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    E-scooters/e-bikes.

    Issued 22 April 2026

    Action taken:

Police have received reports about nuisance e-bikes in the area, which remains an ongoing concern across Herne Bay. In response, officers have carried out regular high-visibility patrols using both foot patrols and marked police vehicles to deter unsafe and antisocial behaviour. Police are actively working to identify people using e-bikes unlawfully so that appropriate action can be taken where offences are identified. This may include investigating reports, gathering evidence and taking enforcement action where necessary. Officers will continue to patrol the area, and any further incidents involving the illegal or antisocial use of e-bikes will be addressed robustly to help keep the community safe.

  • Priority:

    Dog fouling.

    Issued 22 April 2026

    Action taken:

Concerns about dog fouling in the area have been recognised and shared with the appropriate local authority. Responsibility for dealing with dog fouling and taking enforcement action rests with the local council, which has the powers to investigate reports and issue penalties where necessary. Residents who have raised concerns have been directed to the council's reporting process so that incidents can be dealt with by the responsible authority. Dog fouling can have a negative impact on public spaces, the local environment and public health, and reporting incidents helps the council identify problem areas and take action. By working in partnership with the council, police can help ensure that concerns are addressed and that local parks, footpaths and public spaces remain clean, safe and welcoming for everyone.

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 22 April 2026

    Action taken:

Police have received reports about inconsiderate and unsafe parking in the area. The opening of the new car park next to Thornden Wood Primary School is expected to help reduce some of these issues by providing additional parking for parents, carers and visitors. Officers have carried out regular high-visibility patrols and have used marked police vehicles to monitor the area and support road safety. While the local neighbourhood officer has not personally witnessed any significant parking problems during these patrols, concerns raised by the community continue to be monitored. Any road safety issues identified by officers or reported by residents will be assessed and dealt with appropriately to help keep local roads safe for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

    Actioned 30 June 2026
