  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 20 July 2026

    Action taken:

Speeding concerns have been reported on Greenhill Road and Thornden Wood Road. Traffic calming measures in these locations are managed by Kent County Council, which is responsible for the design and maintenance of measures such as speed cushions, road narrowing and other traffic management features.

Officers will continue to carry out speed checks in areas where concerns have been raised and take enforcement action against drivers who break the speed limit. Drivers found travelling at excessive speeds may face prosecution.

We will continue to work with local communities and partner organisations to help improve road safety and address concerns about speeding.

    Actioned 30 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 20 July 2026

    Action taken:

Officers investigate all reports of antisocial behaviour and work to identify those responsible so that appropriate action can be taken.

Where young people are involved, officers may carry out home visits and work with families to put measures in place to address the behaviour. This can include an Acceptable Behaviour Agreement, which is a voluntary agreement that sets out expected standards of behaviour and aims to prevent further incidents. For those aged 16 and over, officers may issue a Community Protection Warning. This is a formal warning given when someone's behaviour is having a negative impact on the local community and may lead to further action if the behaviour continues.

Officers are currently reviewing information relating to a recent report of antisocial behaviour and will take further action where those involved can be identified.

High-visibility and foot patrols continue to be carried out in key locations to provide reassurance, deter antisocial behaviour and respond to concerns raised by local residents.

    Actioned 30 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Drug taking.

    Issued 20 July 2026

    Action taken:

Police have received reports of people smoking cannabis in their homes, gardens and communal areas. Where this behaviour has been found to be having a negative impact on neighbours and the wider community, officers have taken action to address the issue.

As part of this work, two individuals have been issued with Community Protection Warnings. A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning used to address behaviour that has a persistent negative effect on the quality of life of those in the local area. It gives the individual an opportunity to change their behaviour before further action is considered.

If the behaviour continues, a Community Protection Notice may be issued. A Community Protection Notice is a legal requirement to stop the behaviour, and failure to comply can lead to prosecution or other enforcement action.

We will continue to work with local communities and partner organisations to address issues that affect residents and take appropriate action where necessary.

    Actioned 30 September 2026
