Road safety issues.

Your local policing team regularly carries out speed checks and works closely with Community Speedwatch volunteers to identify locations where speeding is reported.

Information provided by residents and Community Speedwatch groups helps officers target enforcement activity in areas of greatest concern. Where drivers are found exceeding the speed limit, officers may take enforcement action or provide road safety education to encourage safer driving.

We will continue to monitor concerns, carry out speed enforcement activity and work with local communities to improve road safety for all road users.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

There have been reports of young people performing dangerous manoeuvres, including wheelies, on roads in the area. This behaviour can create a risk to both those involved and other road users.

In response, officers have carried out targeted patrols in locations where concerns have been raised. These patrols provide opportunities to engage with those involved, offer road safety advice and take action where offences are identified.

We will continue to monitor reports and carry out patrols in hotspot locations to help improve safety and address concerns raised by the community.

Drug taking.

Reports of suspected drug-related activity have been received in the area, and officers have carried out high-visibility patrols in locations where concerns have been raised.

While no drug offences were identified during patrols over the summer, officers continue to review information provided by residents and assess when and where activity is most likely to take place. This helps ensure patrols and enforcement activity are targeted as effectively as possible.

Tackling drug-related crime remains a priority, and officers will continue to gather intelligence, monitor reports and carry out proactive patrols to identify those involved and take appropriate action where offences are identified.
