Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.
My Community Voice is a free messaging service that keeps you updated on local news, events and safety information from your policing team. Find out more and register for My Community Voice.

E-scooters/E-bikes.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers are aware of concerns about the use of e-scooters and e-bikes along the promenade and have increased patrols in the area to address illegal riding and improve safety. Enforcement activity is carried out where offences are identified, and officers continue to respond to reports from residents. Earlier this year, an e-scooter was seized following ongoing complaints about the way it was being ridden. Officers will continue to patrol the area and take appropriate action where e-scooters or e-bikes are being used unlawfully or in a way that causes concern to the community.

Highways obstructions.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers have not received reports of regular highway obstructions in the area. However, they were recently made aware of a vehicle that had been left on double yellow lines. Checks confirmed that the vehicle was legally registered and insured, meaning there were no grounds for police seizure. Responsibility for parking enforcement on double yellow lines sits with the local council, so the details were passed to the council for appropriate action. Officers will continue to respond to reports and work with partner agencies where issues are identified.

Road safety issues.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers work closely with Community Speedwatch volunteers and are working with them to identify suitable locations for joint speed monitoring activity in the area. Community Speedwatch is a scheme that allows trained volunteers to work with the police to monitor vehicle speeds and highlight roads where speeding is a concern. Information gathered through this work helps officers target enforcement activity where it is most needed and supports ongoing efforts to improve road safety for everyone.
