  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    E-scooters/e-bikes.

    Issued 22 April 2026

    Action taken:

High-visibility foot patrols and patrols using marked police vehicles have been carried out across the ward to address concerns about the use of e-bikes and e-scooters. These patrols have focused on areas where concerns have been raised by residents and have provided a visible police presence to help deter unsafe or antisocial behaviour. Officers have monitored known hotspot locations and will continue to carry out proactive patrols throughout the area. Any unlawful use of e-bikes or e-scooters identified by officers will be dealt with appropriately, and enforcement action will be taken where necessary to help improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.

  • Priority:

    Fraud.

    Issued 22 April 2026

    Action taken:

There have been a number of reports from residents about suspected fraud phone calls. A common scam involves someone pretending to be a police officer and convincing victims to withdraw cash from their bank account before arranging for a courier to collect it. It is important to remember that police officers will never ask you to withdraw money, transfer funds or hand over cash as part of an investigation. Any call making these requests is likely to be a scam. Officers continue to raise awareness of fraud and help protect residents from becoming victims. People signed up to My Community Voice will also receive regular updates and advice about the latest frauds and scams, along with information on how to recognise and report them.

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues

    Issued 22 April 2026

    Action taken:

Following ongoing concerns about speeding in the area, officers carried out speed checks on Marine Parade in Tankerton. Several vehicles were stopped and drivers were spoken to about their speed and general road safety. However, no offences were identified and no enforcement action was necessary. Four officers were involved in the operation, providing a highly visible police presence and engaging positively with local residents and road users. Road safety remains a priority within the ward, and further speed enforcement and engagement activities will continue. Officers will also continue to work alongside Speedwatch, a community scheme where trained volunteers work with the police to monitor vehicle speeds and help raise awareness of speeding concerns in their local area.
