Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.
Action taken:
Officers have carried out targeted patrols in areas where nuisance antisocial behaviour has been reported, using information provided by local residents and the wider community to focus activity where it is most needed. These patrols help deter offending, identify those responsible and provide reassurance to people living in the area. Officers will continue to work with the community, gather information and carry out patrols to address concerns and improve neighbourhood safety.

Drug dealing.
Action taken:
Officers have taken action to address concerns about drug dealing and the antisocial behaviour linked to it. Working with partner organisations, the Neighbourhood Policing Team secured an extension to a Closure Order at a problem property, giving the housing association additional time to take further action. A Closure Order is a legal measure that can restrict access to a property that is being used for serious nuisance, antisocial behaviour or criminal activity. This action helped protect local residents and reduce the impact of ongoing issues within the community.

Action taken:
Following concerns about speeding in the area, officers carried out targeted speed enforcement operations in locations identified as problem areas. These checks took place on several occasions throughout the summer to identify and take action against drivers exceeding the speed limit. Officers have also conducted regular patrols in the area to deter unsafe driving, respond to residents' concerns and help improve road safety for everyone using the roads.
