DA1 1JB, Lowfield Street Dartford
Drug dealing/drug use.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Doherty has carried out proactive patrols across the ward to address community concerns and help prevent crime. As part of this work, officers have conducted a number of stop checks, where people or vehicles are stopped so officers can make enquiries and address any concerns about suspected criminal activity. Through regular engagement with residents and local businesses, information has been gathered about locations where suspected drug dealing may be taking place. This has helped officers focus their patrols more effectively, allowing resources to be directed towards the areas of greatest concern and supporting ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related activity within the community.

Antisocial behaviour - general.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Doherty has focused patrols in areas where concerns have been reported and has spoken with groups of young people gathering in those locations. During these conversations, officers have engaged with those involved, recorded relevant details and gathered information to help better understand any issues affecting the area. Any necessary follow-up action is being progressed as part of ongoing efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour. Antisocial behaviour includes actions that cause nuisance, alarm or distress to others, such as persistent disorder, vandalism, intimidation or other behaviour that negatively affects the local community. PC Doherty will continue to work with local residents and partner agencies to address concerns, prevent further problems and help keep the area safe and welcoming for everyone.

E-scooters/e-bikes.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Doherty has been working with Dartford Borough Council to help enforce a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). A PSPO is a legal order introduced by a local council to tackle behaviours that have a negative impact on the community, such as nuisance vehicle use, littering, dog fouling or other forms of antisocial behaviour. As part of this work, PC Doherty has helped to stop and seize illegal e-scooters, e-bikes and e-motorbikes where offences have been identified. Some of these vehicles may be used unlawfully on public roads, footpaths or other public spaces, creating risks for both riders and the wider community. Kent Police also took part in a recent national day of action aimed at tackling the unsafe and unlawful use of these vehicles, helping to improve safety and raise awareness of the rules that apply to them.
