Catapults.
Issued 15 July 2026
Officers have been carrying out proactive patrols in response to concerns about the misuse of catapults in the community. These patrols have taken place in areas where incidents have been reported and have helped officers gather information, engage with local people and deter antisocial behaviour. Patrols have focused on parks, open spaces and other locations where concerns have been raised, with officers providing advice and education about the risks and consequences of using catapults irresponsibly. Where offences have been identified, officers have taken appropriate action, including seizing catapults and investigating any related criminal offences. Officers continue to work with local communities and partner organisations to address these concerns and encourage residents to report incidents, particularly where people, property or wildlife may be at risk.

Nuisance motorcycles.
Issued 15 July 2026
We have carried out proactive work to address road safety concerns across the area. Officers have stopped a number of vehicles, engaging with drivers and ensuring compliance with road traffic legislation. Where offences have been identified, appropriate action has been taken, including issuing tickets and reporting drivers for offences. In more serious cases, vehicles have been seized.
We have also specifically targeted nuisance motorcycles and quad bikes, focusing patrols in areas where these vehicles have been causing concern. This work aims to reduce antisocial behaviour, improve safety for residents, and disrupt ongoing issues caused by irresponsible use.
