Drug dealing.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers continue to respond to concerns about drug-related activity through targeted patrols in areas where issues have been reported. Information provided by residents helps officers identify locations of concern, gather intelligence and take action where appropriate. This may include stop and searches where there are lawful grounds. A stop and search is a police power that allows officers to search a person for items such as illegal drugs, weapons or stolen property when certain legal conditions are met. Through ongoing patrols, community engagement and enforcement activity, officers continue to work to tackle drug-related crime, deter offending and improve community safety.
