Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Antisocial behaviour.
Action taken:
Addressing antisocial behaviour remains a priority for local officers, who continue to carry out proactive patrols and targeted enforcement activity in response to concerns raised by residents. Where individuals have been identified as having a negative impact on the community, officers have issued Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices. A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning about behaviour that is causing problems for others. If the behaviour continues, a Community Protection Notice can be issued, which sets legal requirements that must be followed. Failure to comply can lead to further enforcement action. Officers also use CCTV and other evidence to identify repeat offenders, take appropriate action and help reduce the impact of antisocial behaviour on the local community.

Nuisance vehicles.
Action taken:
Officers continue to take action against the illegal and dangerous use of e-scooters and nuisance bikes in the area. Through targeted patrols and enforcement activity, more than 10 e-scooters being used unlawfully have been seized.
Officers have also issued a Community Protection Notice to a repeat offender whose behaviour was having a negative impact on the community. A Community Protection Notice is a legal notice that requires a person to stop behaviour that is causing problems for local residents. Failure to comply can lead to further enforcement action. These measures help improve safety for residents and visitors and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to tackling nuisance vehicle use and antisocial behaviour.

Alcohol use.
Action taken:
Addressing alcohol-related antisocial behaviour remains a priority for local officers.
Regular patrols are carried out in areas where concerns about street drinking and related antisocial behaviour have been reported. Officers take enforcement action where appropriate and have issued a number of fixed penalty notices for breaches of a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). A PSPO is a legal measure used to address persistent antisocial behaviour in a specific area and can place restrictions on activities such as street drinking. Breaching the restrictions can result in a fixed penalty notice or further enforcement action. Officers will continue to monitor hotspot locations, respond to concerns from residents and businesses, and take action to help improve safety and reduce the impact of alcohol-related antisocial behaviour on the community.
