Your Community Safety Unit
Your Community Safety Unit is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Drug dealing.
Action taken:
Officers carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, leading to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer and the seizure of drugs.
Several people have also been stopped and searched following reports of drug use. Officers will continue proactive patrols in areas where issues have been identified.

E-scooters and e-bikes.
Action taken:
Officers are targeting the antisocial use of bikes and e‑scooters through patrols and vehicle stops.
Where offences are identified, riders are dealt with, including for driving without insurance.

Nuisance motorcycles.
Action taken:
Nuisance vehicle operations have been carried out to prevent antisocial driving.
These patrols help deter misuse of vehicles and keep the area safe.
