Nuisance vehicles.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers continue to carry out targeted patrols in response to reports of nuisance vehicles, particularly during the late evening when most incidents are reported. These patrols help identify offenders, deter antisocial behaviour and provide reassurance to residents. Where appropriate, officers use road traffic legislation and antisocial behaviour powers to address offending, prevent further nuisance and take positive action against those responsible. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents, as information from the community helps officers identify patterns, develop intelligence and target enforcement activity where it is needed most.

Road safety.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers continue to carry out speed enforcement activity in response to concerns raised by the community. Speed checks took place on 9 September 2026 along the A20 through the centre of the village. A further 5 speed enforcement operations are planned before the end of November, alongside additional ad hoc checks at varying times and locations. These proactive patrols help address local road safety concerns, encourage compliance with speed limits and provide a visible police presence within the community. Through ongoing enforcement and engagement, officers continue to work to improve road safety and reduce the risk of collisions on local roads.
