Fawkham and West Kingsdown

Nuisance vehicles.

Kent Police has been actively tackling nuisance vehicle use in West Kingsdown through targeted patrols in hotspot locations, particularly during evenings and weekends when reports are most common. Officers regularly engage with drivers and riders, taking enforcement action where offences are identified, including the use of Section 59 warnings and vehicle seizures where appropriate. A Section 59 warning is a legal warning issued when a vehicle is used in an antisocial manner, and further offending can result in the vehicle being seized.

One of the main concerns raised by residents has been reports of racing on Thursday evenings between West Kingsdown and Farningham. In response, a Community Protection Warning was issued on 12 June 2026 to a business believed to be facilitating nuisance vehicle activity. This warning remains in effect and forms part of ongoing efforts to address the issue.

Officers continue to work closely with local authorities, landowners and partner agencies to reduce opportunities for nuisance vehicle use and improve the quality of life for residents. Drug offences.

To address drug-related concerns in West Kingsdown, officers have been carrying out intelligence-led patrols and proactive stop and searches in key locations. Information provided by the community has helped officers identify individuals suspected of involvement in drug-related activity, leading to positive stop and searches, drug seizures and ongoing investigations.

On 7 June 2026, a person was detained on Southfields Road, West Kingsdown, and found in possession of a quantity of Class B drugs. They were issued with a Community Resolution, which is an outcome that allows offences to be dealt with without going to court while reinforcing that criminal behaviour will not be tolerated.

Officers also continue to work with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable people affected by substance misuse and provide support where needed. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity, as information from the community is vital in helping police build an accurate intelligence picture, identify offenders and take effective enforcement action. Road safety.

Kent Police continues to prioritise road safety in West Kingsdown through a combination of enforcement, education and engagement. Officers have carried out speed checks, traffic operations and proactive patrols to identify dangerous driving, speeding and other road traffic offences. Advice has also been provided to road users to encourage safer driving, with enforcement action taken where offences are identified.

Officers are working with local partners, including the council and community groups, to address road safety concerns raised by residents and improve awareness of safe driving. A dedicated road safety operation is also planned around Brands Hatch in July 2026. The operation will focus on road safety issues and provide advice to residents and road users on how to keep themselves and others safe.
