  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

Ongoing work has focused on improving road safety across the ward through a combination of enforcement, engagement and partnership working. Targeted patrols have been carried out in identified hotspot locations, with drivers stopped and given advice where concerns about their driving behaviour have been identified.

Regular police surgeries and community engagement events have helped officers understand the issues that matter most to residents, allowing resources and enforcement activity to be targeted effectively. Officers have also worked closely with partner organisations, including housing associations, to address repeat concerns and develop long-term solutions.

This coordinated approach has helped improve compliance, increase public reassurance and support safer roads for all users. Officers will continue to monitor concerns, carry out patrols and take enforcement action where necessary to improve road safety across the ward.

  • Priority:

    E-bikes/e-scooters.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

Issues relating to nuisance e-scooter and e-bike use are being addressed through a combination of enforcement, education and community engagement. Increased patrols have been carried out in identified hotspot areas, supported by partnership working with local agencies and specialist teams.

Ongoing engagement with residents and local businesses has helped improve the flow of information to police, allowing officers to build a clearer intelligence picture of where these vehicles are being used and stored. This information is supporting targeted enforcement activity and helping to identify those responsible for antisocial behaviour and road traffic offences.

We will continue to work closely with partner agencies, carry out proactive patrols and respond to community concerns, helping to reduce nuisance vehicle use, improve public safety and enhance community confidence.

  • Priority:

    Nuisance motorcycles.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

Nuisance motorcycle use continues to be targeted through intelligence-led patrols and coordinated enforcement activity. Officers have focused patrols on known hotspot locations, particularly during peak times, to maximise visibility, deter offending and identify those responsible.

A recent operation at Kemsley Recreation Ground resulted in the seizure of two off-road motorcycles and the issuing of three Section 59 warnings. A Section 59 warning is a legal warning that can be issued when a vehicle is used in a manner that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others. If the warning is breached within 12 months, the vehicle can be seized by police.

Officers will continue to carry out targeted patrols, act on information provided by residents and take enforcement action where offences are identified to reduce nuisance motorcycle activity and improve community safety.
