Highway obstructions.
Issued 16 April 2026
Inconsiderate or unsafe parking can create serious risks for pedestrians, other road users and emergency services, not just inconvenience.
Officers are monitoring reported locations and taking action where needed. When reporting parking issues, please be aware that some matters are dealt with by the local council rather than the police. However, where a vehicle is causing a clear obstruction or safety risk, officers will assess the situation and take appropriate action.
This work helps keep roads and neighbourhoods safe. Residents are encouraged to share concerns through local ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

Drug dealing.
Issued 16 April 2026
PC Vaz is working to tackle drug dealing and reduce its impact on the community.
Officers gather information to identify hotspots and respond quickly to concerns. This includes regular patrols, targeted visits and, where appropriate, the use of stop and search powers (a legal power to search people for items such as drugs) to deter offending.
Officers also work closely with partner agencies to protect vulnerable people who may be at risk of exploitation or having their property used for criminal activity.
Information from the community is essential. Every report helps build a clearer picture and supports targeted action. Through a combination of visibility, engagement and enforcement, officers are working to reduce drug‑related harm and keep the area safe.

Antisocial behaviour - general.
Issued 16 April 2026
Police are reviewing reports of antisocial behaviour (ASB) and taking action where concerns are raised.
Following recent reports, officers attended an address linked to ongoing issues as part of a joint‑agency response. The situation will continue to be monitored, with further action taken if needed.
Regular updates are shared with the community to keep residents informed about ASB and what is being done to address it.
