Neighbourhood Policing Team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.

Criminal damage.
Action taken:
Officers have continued to monitor reports of criminal damage within the Bourne area and has carried out targeted patrols in locations identified through community concerns and local intelligence. These patrols have provided reassurance to residents, deterred offending, and created opportunities to engage with those frequenting local hotspots.
In response to concerns regarding the misuse of catapults by young people, the beat officer has conducted stop searches of youths in affected areas. This activity has helped to disrupt potential offending, gather intelligence, and reinforce messages around the consequences of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour. Where appropriate, engagement and educational advice have been provided to encourage positive behaviour and reduce the likelihood of further incidents.

Nuisance motorcycles.
Action taken:
Reports of nuisance motorcycles have reduced following the use of Community Protection Warnings (CPWs). A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning given when a person's behaviour is having a negative impact on the community. Officers continue to work with the local council to improve awareness of Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) in affected areas. A PSPO is a legal measure used to address persistent antisocial behaviour in a specific location. Officers also work closely with the Rural Task Force to tackle the illegal use of off-road motorcycles and take action against those responsible.

Road safety issues.
Action taken:
Officers continue to prioritise road safety through targeted patrols and enforcement activity across the district. Speed checks are carried out in response to concerns raised by residents, while officers also use tools such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to identify vehicles linked to offences. ANPR is a system that automatically reads vehicle registration numbers and helps police identify vehicles that may be uninsured, stolen or linked to criminal activity. This ongoing work helps improve road safety, deter criminal behaviour and address concerns raised by the local community.
