Road safety issues.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers continue to carry out proactive road safety patrols across the area using a range of tactics, including foot patrols, cycle patrols and vehicle-based patrols. They work to identify and address road safety concerns, provide a visible presence and take action where offences are detected. Drivers found committing offences may be issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR), which is a formal process used to deal with road traffic offences. Through ongoing enforcement and engagement, officers continue to promote safer driving and improve road safety for the local community.

Antisocial behaviour - general.
Issued 20 July 2026
Officers continue to carry out patrols in the area to address concerns about antisocial behaviour and provide reassurance to residents. Targeted patrols and engagement with the community help officers identify any issues, deter offending and respond to concerns raised by local people. Officers have also taken action to address antisocial behaviour around the Tonbridge Lock area through the use of a dispersal order. A dispersal order allows police to direct people to leave an area for a limited period where antisocial behaviour is causing problems for the community. During the time the order was in place, no further issues were reported.
Officers have also carried out stop and searches where there were lawful grounds and, in some cases, issued Community Resolutions for drug possession offences. A Community Resolution is a way of dealing with lower-level offences outside of court, allowing offenders to take responsibility for their actions and make amends. These proactive measures help reduce antisocial behaviour, deter offending and improve community safety.
