Catapults.
Action taken:
Officers have seized a number of catapults as part of ongoing work to tackle incidents involving their misuse. Where individuals are identified carrying or using catapults, appropriate action is taken, and officers work to educate those involved about the risks and consequences of their actions.
The use of catapults to commit offences remains an area of concern for Kent Police, particularly where they are used to damage property, harm wildlife or cause alarm within the community. Officers continue to carry out patrols, investigate reports and work with schools, parents and partner agencies to raise awareness and prevent further incidents.
We encourage residents to continue reporting concerns to the police, as information from the community plays a vital role in helping officers identify offenders, target patrols and take appropriate action.

Action taken:
Officers have been carrying out road checks across rural locations to address concerns about speeding and improve road safety. Alongside enforcement activity, officers are engaging with motorists to raise awareness of the risks associated with excessive speed and the impact it can have on local communities.
Where appropriate, enforcement action is being taken against drivers who commit offences, helping to deter unsafe driving and improve safety for all road users. Officers will continue to carry out patrols, road checks and targeted enforcement activity to address concerns raised by residents and promote safer driving across the area.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.
Action taken:
Neighbourhood officers continue to work closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies to address antisocial behaviour across the Cranbrook area. Reports of nuisance behaviour, youth-related antisocial behaviour and disorder in public spaces are taken seriously and investigated where appropriate, with officers responding promptly to concerns raised by the community.
High-visibility patrols are carried out in identified hotspot locations to deter offending, provide reassurance and maintain a visible police presence. Officers also work closely with young people, local schools and community groups to address issues at an early stage and prevent escalation.
A range of measures may be used where necessary, including Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) and other early intervention approaches, helping to address behaviour before it becomes more serious. Through a combination of engagement, early intervention and enforcement activity, officers remain committed to reducing antisocial behaviour, supporting those affected and helping to ensure Cranbrook remains a safe and welcoming place to live, work and visit.
