Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of local officers and police community support officers, led by a sergeant and inspector. They’re based in your area and supported by the wider Kent Police team.
We work with councils, community groups and local leaders to tackle the issues that matter most, finding long-term solutions and reducing crime.
We publish the meetings and events we plan to attend, but attendance depends on operational priorities.
My Community Voice is a free messaging service that keeps you updated on local news, events and safety information from your policing team. Find out more and register for My Community Voice.

In recent weeks, PC Amelia Brooker has been assigned as the neighbourhood beat officer for the Culverden ward. She has been carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area and speaking with local residents to understand their concerns and provide reassurance.
A community meeting is planned for 11 November 2026, giving residents an opportunity to meet their local officer, discuss issues affecting the area and ask questions.
PC Brooker has also arranged meetings with local councillors to build strong working relationships and ensure that concerns raised by the community are listened to and acted upon where appropriate.

Fraud.
Issued 22 July 2026
National campaigns and media coverage have highlighted the growing risk of fraud and the different ways criminals target victims. Information about fraud prevention and how to recognise common scams will be shared at upcoming community meetings to help residents protect themselves.
Crime prevention leaflets have also been distributed to assisted living accommodation and displayed on local community noticeboards. These provide practical advice on staying safe from fraud, spotting suspicious activity and reporting concerns.

Homelessness/begging.
Issued 22 July 2026
Officers continue to work closely with the local council and partner organisations to support people who may be vulnerable, helping them access services and, where possible, suitable housing.
As the colder weather approaches, the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) may be introduced. This is a scheme that provides emergency accommodation for people who are sleeping rough during periods of severe weather. Officers will work with the council to identify anyone who may need this support and help ensure they can access the services available.
