Road safety issues.

Numerous high-visibility speed enforcement checks have been carried out on Lower Green Road, Rusthall, in response to ongoing concerns raised by residents about speeding and road safety. Officers have monitored driver behaviour, provided advice where appropriate and taken enforcement action when offences have been identified.

Officers continue to work closely with the local Speedwatch Team to address community concerns and gather evidence about speeding in the area. Speedwatch is a community-led scheme where trained volunteers work with police to monitor vehicle speeds and raise awareness of road safety issues.

We will continue to carry out patrols, speed checks and targeted enforcement activity to improve road safety, deter speeding and provide reassurance to local residents.

Nuisance motorcycles.

Officers have carried out proactive patrols in an unmarked vehicle and continue to work closely with local residents to identify those responsible for antisocial behaviour and nuisance vehicle use. As a result of information provided by the community, several individuals have now been identified and appropriate action has been taken, including the issuing of Section 59 warnings and Community Protection Warnings (CPWs).

A Section 59 warning is a legal warning that can be issued when a vehicle is used in a manner that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to others. If further offending occurs, the vehicle can be seized. A CPW is a formal warning used to address behaviour that is having a negative impact on the community and may lead to further enforcement action if problems continue.

Enforcement and intelligence-gathering activity remains ongoing, and officers will continue to work with residents to identify offenders, tackle antisocial behaviour and improve the quality of life within the community.

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Following reports of criminal damage and graffiti-related offences, officers have carried out enquiries which have led to a suspect being identified through a distinctive graffiti tag. Investigations remain ongoing, with further enquiries being completed to locate the individual and take appropriate action.

Criminal damage and graffiti can have a significant impact on residents, businesses and the wider community. Officers remain committed to identifying those responsible, holding offenders accountable and preventing further incidents. We encourage residents to continue reporting incidents and sharing information, as community intelligence plays an important role in supporting investigations and helping to keep the area safe.
