    Issued 21 April 2026

    Action taken:

In response to concerns about suspected drug dealing, officers have carried out proactive patrols in identified hotspot locations. This activity has focused on disrupting criminal behaviour, gathering intelligence and maintaining a visible police presence to provide reassurance to residents.

Encouragingly, reports relating to drug-related activity have reduced, suggesting that this targeted approach is having a positive impact. Officers will continue to carry out intelligence-led patrols, respond to information provided by the community and take appropriate enforcement action to help tackle drug-related issues and keep the area safe.

Officers have carried out speed enforcement checks within the ward in response to concerns about road safety. A number of drivers have been stopped and spoken to about their driving behaviour, with warnings and other appropriate action taken where necessary. This activity helps reinforce road safety messages, encourage safer driving habits and address concerns raised by the local community.

Officers will continue to carry out patrols and speed enforcement activity across the area to improve road safety, deter offending and help keep local roads safe for everyone.

  • Priority:

    Nuisance motorbikes.

    Issued 21 April 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have conducted both high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols in areas affected by nuisance motorbike activity. These operations have focused on identifying offenders, gathering intelligence and deterring the antisocial use of motorcycles. Officers continue to target known hotspot locations and act on information provided by the community.

While nuisance motorbikes remain an issue, there has been a reduction in reports made to Kent Police, suggesting that the proactive enforcement activity being carried out is having a positive impact. Patrols and targeted operations will continue to help reduce offending, improve community safety and provide reassurance to local residents.
